Accompanying the whitewater course is a 1,200 ft. long zip line with an in air obstacle course at the end. The zip line is the only one in the country that connects two states! You can walk or bike along our 25-mile RiverWalk that connects attractions and restaurants!

There are so many amazing places to eat in Columbus, GA! Simply do a Yelp search of best restaurants in the area and I guarantee there will be places you haven’t tried yet. Going somewhere new is an adventure in itself! For families seeking history and education on their trips, Columbus has Nationally recognized, free museums; The National Civil War and Naval Museum, and recently voted the number one free museum from USA Today, The National Infantry Museum. Columbus is also where Coca-Cola was founded. You can stop and see the creator's house, and also go to the Coca Cola Space and Science Center where visitors learn about space, and partake in simulations.

4. Arts & Theatre

At night, choose from free concerts to theatre, with a choice of the Springer Opera House, Rivercenter for the Performing Arts, or Columbus State University’s, Riverside Theatre! If your family is not one to go to the theatre on a regular basis this could be a fun and exciting way to spice up your Staycation!

5. Festivals

Columbus, GA has some amazing festivals including but not limited to Paddle South, RiverFest, Frogtown Crawfish Festival, and the Uptown Beer and Wine festival. Festivals are a cheap way to have fun!
